Rancho La Habra EIR Now Available

The draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for Rancho La Habra is now available for public review at City Hall, on the City’s website, and at the La Habra Public Library.

The EIR is required by the California Environmental Quality Act and must evaluate the proposed development’s potential effects on traffic, schools, water supply, native species, aesthetics, public services and other topics. CEQA also requires that the EIR must identify feasible ways to reduce impacts to a less than significant level through plan refinements or mitigation funded by the project applicant. If an impact can’t be reduced to less than significant, the City Council will be required to adopt a Statement of Overriding Consideration at a public meeting.

The 45-day public review period for the EIR will close on April 11, 2018. The City is required to respond in writing to all comments it receives on the Draft EIR. Comments can be submitted electronically to or mailed to:
